Longrain is Scott Pickett’s vibrant modern Thai restaurant, housed in an expansive converted horse stable from the 1900s. Inspired by a relaxed, communal eating philosophy, the menu is made up of shared dishes to be enjoyed on communal dining tables – banquet style. Complementing the fresh, punchy signature dishes, Longrain offers an abundance of Thai-inspired cocktails.
Visit us before or after your theatre show, and head upstairs to Longsong from Thursday–Saturday to add a cocktail or two to your experience!

Spice up your Friday afternoons with our $60 lunch banquet! You'll try a selection of Longrain favourites paired with a glass of wine or beer, the perfect segue into the weekend! Best enjoyed with friends or colleagues, so round up your team and join us every Friday from 12pm.
Our Thai Memories
กุ้งอบวุ้นเส้น - Goong ob woon sen King prawn, glass noodles, wood ear mushrooms, Chinese celery Goong as in prawn. Ob as in to cover. Woon sen as in glass noodles. A dish with its origins stemming from Chinese influences that has become one of the most beloved dishes for all Thai’s worldwide. It’s not surprising as Bangkok's Chinatowns is one of the largest and most vibrant in the world. Showcasing a fusion of Chinese and Thai heritage cuisine. This dish is a perfect example. Traditionally cooked in a claypot, hence “ob” to cover. We are showcasing one of our chefs favourites go to comfort food. Local Australian tiger prawns, flavour-soaked glass noodles, fragrant Chinese celery, ginger and black pepper. One to warm you up during this cold season Available until 8th September
Pre-Theatre bookings
For those wanting a quick bite before a show, look no further! We offer 75 minute a la carte bookings from 5:30pm Monday–Thursday and 5pm Friday–Sunday to make sure you are wined and dined before you hit the theatre! If you're seeing Beauty and the Beast, try the 'Bold and the Beautiful'. Our take on a Turkish delight. Groups of up to 20 are welcomed to dine on our a la carte menu. Please select the 'Pre-theatre Special' option at the time of booking.
Meet the Team: Yusrianto Umar
A young star rising within the ranks and a trustworthy and competent member of the Longrain team. His welcoming smile and genuine personality always light up the morale in the kitchen. Hard working and always pushing the boundaries whilst supporting and mentoring the younger kitchen team.
Longsong is the penthouse to Longrain; the upper level. Perfect for pre-dinner drinks or for a lighter meal, it sits nicely in that space between a restaurant and a late-night bar. You don’t have to eat – but you’d be missing out. The food is inspired by the flavours of downstairs and designed to pair with drinks. There are DJs spinning vinyl from Thursday–Saturday nights, a Thai-inspired cocktail list, local wines, craft beers on tap – it's a casual place to meet the crew until late into the night — no reservations required but dinner bookings are welcomed.
