Longrain is Scott Pickett’s vibrant modern Thai restaurant, housed in an expansive converted horse stable from the 1900s. Inspired by a relaxed, communal eating philosophy, the menu is made up of shared dishes to be enjoyed on communal dining tables – banquet style. Complementing the fresh, punchy signature dishes, Longrain offers an abundance of Thai-inspired cocktails.

Pre-Theatre bookings

For those wanting a quick bite before a show, look no further! We offer 75 minute a la carte bookings from 5:30pm Monday–Thursday and 5pm Friday–Sunday to make sure you are wined and dined before you hit the theatre! If you're seeing Wicked, try our magical 'Elphaba's Cauldron' cocktail, or if you're seeing Chicago, try the 'Fleetingly Famous'! Groups of up to 20 are welcomed to dine on our a la carte menu. Please select the 'Pre-theatre Special' option at the time of booking.

Our Thai Memories: Boom's Skull Island king prawn curry

This dish brings forward fond memories of my time in southern Thailand. It’s commonly known in Thailand that the level of spice considered ‘normal’ in the south will blow your face off anywhere else in the world! The availability of fresh seafood is abundant from the gulf of Thailand. In my dish, I combine fresh seafood, spices, herbs and heat – balancing salty, sweet and sour flavours and featuring large local Skull Island king prawns. It was one of my most loved dishes from the south and its sure to bring warmth during this cold winter season!

Jane has been an integral part of the Longrain front of house team, but with her passion for food and cooking, she enrolled in culinary school and has now joined the kitchen team! She demonstrates her passion and dedication through the beautiful work she puts into every plate and is a pleasure to have in the kitchen.

Longsong is the penthouse to Longrain; the upper level. Perfect for pre-dinner drinks or for a lighter meal, it sits nicely in that space between a restaurant and a late-night bar. You don’t have to eat – but you’d be missing out. The food is inspired by the flavours of downstairs and designed to pair with drinks. There are DJs spinning vinyl from Thursday–Saturday nights, a Thai-inspired cocktail list, local wines, craft beers on tap – it's a casual place to meet the crew until late into the night — no reservations required but dinner bookings are welcomed.
