Spice & Vine Society

Dive into the world’s most exciting emerging wine country.

Wednesday 21st October 2026 6.30pm

Join us for the inaugural Spice & Vine Society dinner as we explore one of the world’s most exciting and unexpected wine frontiers.
For our very first event, we’re partnering with Hamish Williams from Periphery Wines to discover the remarkable wines emerging from China. From the high-altitude vineyards of Yunnan to the pioneering wineries of Ningxia, we’ll uncover the stories behind a new generation of winemakers who are redefining one of the world’s oldest wine cultures.
Over the course of the evening, you’ll enjoy a specially curated Longrain menu paired with six exceptional wines, presented across five tasting brackets, each designed to showcase the incredible relationship between Asian flavours and modern Chinese wines.
Expect a journey through fresh, aromatic seafood, spice-laced pork and duck, vibrant salads and a delicate dessert; all designed to complement the character and diversity of the wines.
Throughout the evening, Hamish will share the stories behind each producer, the regions they call home, and why these wines pair so naturally with spice, aromatics, texture and the bold flavours of Southeast Asian cuisine.
Expect surprising discoveries, fascinating conversations and plenty of great food and wine, all enjoyed around a shared table with like-minded wine lovers.
This is an opportunity to discover a side of the wine world you never knew existed.
